Firstly, thanks to those who helped me sort out my last problem....Having sorted out update problems, i tried to install a game(Tiger Woods '07) but this totally fubar'd my pc. I managed to get everything running smoothly once more after following the sticky on these forums 
, however, when i now start up my pc, the quick launch toolbar is missing and the shortcuts on the desktop rearrange themselves. Despite going into toolbar-properties and ticking the correct boxes, and also having ticked quicklaunch in the toolbar window, it persists. I realise it's only a minor issue, but it would be nice to finally have everything running correctly before i retry a Tiger Woods installation again. I have looked on the internet for a solution, whether its simply a case of going into options somewhere, or if its software related, but to no avail. I'm running XP Pro/sp2.Many thanks from a nubbin.
