After years of never really being satisfied with toothpastes (finding the taste never lasts long, teeth don't stay feeling fresh for long etc) I chucked in a couple of the Marvis brand toothpastes with a recent order I made.

It's fantastic! Really nice taste (I bought the ginger mint and aquatic mint ones), lasts a long time and my teeth actually feel good throughout the day.

Got them here: http://malegrooming.mankind.co.uk/search?w=marvis+toothpaste&asug= when I order some Molton Brown stuff.

Not that cheap, but it's quite a thick paste and you only need a tiny amount on your brush.

Anyway, thought I'd share my recommendation. Not a referral or anything above - main site is here www.mankind.co.uk

What fluoride conc is in that expensive brand?

Most folks will be better off with sensodyne rapid relief, colgate total or oral B's new variants which are all good toothpastes.

I use Aqua Fresh Ultimate.

I chew a piece of gum after every meal, for at least 20 minutes. O and I floss every night.

I use Sensodyne Gel have done for many years, great for relief for sensitive teeth and even tooth ache. I drink plenty of cold water everyday with no problems and my teeth are not the best going but went dentist after a 2 year gap and besides a broken crown that I needed fixing he said everything else was fine.

Have a question though, what are these higher fluoride toothpastes that require prescription for? Why are they prescription only?

Sensodine gentle whitening with flouride,

After getting my front teeth knocked back at Halloween I was worried about discolouring after both got root canal treatment, the gentle whitening not only helped the front but the rest of the teeth look very white and I'm also not sensitive to cold drinks anymore.

Still need to try that black pepper shower gel...

I'm using the new Colgate Sensitive Pro-Relief. In comparison to to Sensodyne pro-namel it's pretty good and is just as effective as putting the sensitivity at bay. As for how good it actually is for my teeth, who knows?

That new oral b one is good, feels ever so slightly gritty and really makes your teeth feel clean afterwards. I wouldn't recommend it to a friend, but you lot, sure :)

Tried sensodyne repair and protect and didn't notice much difference, dentist recommended pronamel which works quite well.
