Top 10 (Amiga) Games

SOTB3 was the easiest to play and a bit more forgiving than the rest (in SOTB1 / 2 you made one mistake and that was game over and restart).

SOTB2 was my favourite of the series simply because of the brilliant sound and graphics. The game was average to say the least.

Deuteros is a good choice - I remember the aliens talking to me when you make contact with the aliens for the first time. Cracking game completley original (I know it was the sequel to Millenium 2.2 but still the difference from that to Deuteros was crazy).

the scrolling shooter with the ace rock music and you would upgrade your gun with different bullets.

was shadow of the beast the one with the start where it was a crying baby, lightning, a house with a hole in the roof? then you got on to a path or something and i'd fail, so hard. im 23 so wasnt too old in the amgia days.

those amiga emulator cd's are always duff.

Shadow of the Beast 2 you are thinking of with the crying baby being stolen.

Sideways shooters were 10 a penny in them days you could be thinking of Armalyte, R-Type, Blood Money, Menace or a number of others.

P.S. Amiga emulation isn't overly easy. You could try Amiga Forever where you legally then own the ROM's to play emulators. It also comes presetup with configurations for most people.

Also have a look at WinUAE.

Nah, SOTB3 was the worst of all 3 !!

Shadow of the Beast 3 was actually a good game to play and a lot more forgiving, unlike the previous 2. It mixed the nice parallax scrolling graphics and platform elements from the original with the puzzles from Beast 2. I thought that it was a highly underrated finale to a nice series of games. Although I really liked the original due to the graphics and sound, it wasn't the greatest of games. I did finish Beast 2 with the help of "Ten Pints" :) and the Beast 2 intro was pretty stunning for the time.

Well in my list I've tried to be a little diverse. There's tons of games on the Amiga I could have added. Hell I could probably have a top 100.
