Zelda 2 was a git you got sent right back to the very start of the game if you fail.

I would argue that makes it more frustrating than difficult though... still just a perspective though.

i would imagine it would be both frustrating and difficult

checkpoints make games easy, probs why so many hard games are old school.

castlevania rondo of blood is the last hard game ive played through. Requires you to do every level with perfect timing.

Oddly CoD3 is insanely hard for me. I can barely play the thing, Im not sure what difficulty Im on, dont think its veteran though prob just hard. Still its virtually impossible, doesnt help its poo either.

That should be number 1, but then again most wouldn't have a clue what it is (Google is your friend "Monty Mole") and I'm showing my age

I'd have to agree with this! I never once finished Auf Wiedersehen Monty, i remember having this game come with my spectrum 128k all those years ago, i should really play this game again on an emulator....

I don't understand why Shinobi is on the list, i never found it that difficult :confused:

Oh no. I cringe at the sight of Super Ghouls and Ghosts.

There's a video on Youtube (split into parts) of a guy finishing Super G&G, without getting touched. That's twice through the game without even losing his armour.

I always thought Shadow of the Beast was harder than Beast 2. It was pretty much impossible without the cheat.

Megaman I was very difficult.

And Turtles on the NES too. That thing was impossible.
