Some time today I will break into the to 100 in SETI. The e6750 is murdering everything else in the team. The recently added credit is still climbing and I'm 9th in the team for added credit, so I think that shows that the SETI team is seriously lacking in C2D damage, come on guys, give us a bit of your powah!

here you go

Onwards and upwards. It's about now I start to issue a number of parps to regular forum users, including some folding slackers :D

Bye for now...

I wasn't that impressed with SETI enhanced under BOINC the WU went from <3hrs to >6Hrs sometime 9 on my 64 x2 4600 for a measly 60 points. I think my output will get better results with Climate Prediction & FAH of course:D

What applications were you using? I use apps from here and I get a massive improvement in ppd, but when they release multibeam in the next week or so I will need to reinstall the apps.

There is a huge number of different size units at the mo, everything from some that take me 17 mins up to 4 hours on the e6750, and with the 17 min units and the enhanced apps I get about 20 points for each one. Nice :D

Standard client. I 've looked at the link to optimized clients before but they only seemed to apply to Intel chips whereas I have an AMD 64 x2, but I could bve wrong.

You'll not catch me, young 'un! :)

But give those slackers down there a gentle kick on the way past :D

As for the throughput, my points/core/hour on the core 2s running the Chicken client varies from about 60 for the 20 or 100+ pointers, down to about 30 for the 50 pointers

Ah well, either Borkeley will sort that, or they won't. We'll see.

At the moment, I'm just hoping I get enough decent WU's to get my 1.5 Megacobbly tiffy before I fly out to Japan for three weeks, on sunday morning.

No, of course the crunchers will NOT be not-on while I'm gone! :p

My old PC was AMD and there was a chicken app for it. Run CPU-Z and find what you can do in the way of MMX, SSE or SSE2 and download the best app from th page I linked, which was this one

Good crunching, whether it be that origami mumbo jumbo or searching for ET ordering out for pizza...

The right attitude for SETI crunching yiu have, young padawan :)

To grossly misquote the legendary Freewheelin Franklin -

A sense of humor will get you through times of no WU's better than WU's will get you through times of no sense of humor!
