We have not had one of these for a while.
Mine still stands as
Zelda OTT
This game was the game to own in December 1998, I remember it was my last year at high school and the game was in short supply and I had not preordered it and my sister manged to go into town and get a copy on the day of release, it cost £44.99 and the games was suppose to my xmas present but manged to kept it unwrapped and competed just before new years, the story, gameplay and graphics are something that at the time where unthinkable.
Mario Kart 64
This game got a hammering, use to have 4 player nights at the weekend and we blizted it for hours, would have best £1 a tournament, for some reason we would all fight over Wario and the laughs that came from the bananas, ligheting and the shortcut on the dirt track in the stadium.
Super Mario World
I have never owned a SNES, I was Megadrive owner and I would always try to get into my mates house and jump straight on this, I loved it, we would spend hours and just blast through the game, taking turns when one died the next person took over, gaming at its best. The Mega drive had nothing that come close to SMW, Sonic was good but it was too fast in terms of gameplay.
Most of my games are down to hype and expectation and they all delivered it, I have played some great games but for some reason nothing comes close to the games above. I think its the fact the games were played with friends and online gaming was over a decade away.
