Top 3 Games based on Graphics on the PC?

For a fact I know the new Warhammer: mark of Chaos is incredibly heavy on graphics demands

Oblivion is still the most taxing game for performance.

And also I'd say Company of heroes, and on full spec, maybe Battlefield 2142

I agree, for some reason when I mentioned 2142's graphics to people, they were like, but it's just a BF2 expansion pack. Talk about grindin' ones gears. :D

I'd also go along with FEAR and HL2, as i've yet to see Oblivion & Company of Heroes.

yeah i've heard that one about bf2142 not many people seem to realise its really quite spec-heavy. FEAR definitely is another 1 I forgot. Thing about HL2 is it's such a good engine it'll adapt to any spec quite well so it's sometimes hard to judge.

i wouldn't put prey up there tbh. It's ok but nothing special. Crysis definitely tho, not realised yet and I think technically DX10..
 
For me, HL2:Ep1 is the best looking game on the pc right now. Alan Wake is looking pretty nice, but not out yet so cant really vote for that.
 
Medieval 2: TW is pretty sexy looking when you ramp it up, and call of heroes isnt exactly bad looking either.

BF2 aswell, when you ramp it up, the player models, and just about everything else too, look pretty amazing.

2.FEAR is good , i love the grafics but only play single player!

Personally i think Dawn Of War Dark Crusade is in my top 3 graphics games, seeing a full blown battle unfold with broken tanks and dead bodies everywhere just looks fantastic. Other than that definately Far Cry, still looks as good today as it did on release. Then probably X3 Reunion.

been changed ,looks just charming, not sure on what engine it is running atm never thought about it since it looks just fantastic,it is the most realistic online game ever! I just played it way too long and now i would like to try something als , but if some of u never tryed it before ,go for it ,u wont be sorry!

Medieval 2: Total War, looks just great.
Oblivion.
Company of Heroes.

They're the ones that stick out in my mind.
 
I don't quite understand why Company of Heroes is one of the best graphically enhanced games on the PC. Maybe someone would care to enlighten me?

I just played the demo and the graphics are mediocre at best when set on high detail with AA/AF. For an RTS, I can see why it's got a high accolade due to it's stellar gameplay, but to be honest I just don't see how it's pushing any graphical boundaries.
 
Its only been said nice because a lot on the map is fully destructable. The overall gfx isnt that good and besides you cant really appreciate them due to the overhead view and the spirit of the game is a top down strategy game.
