Hi folks,

I’ll likely be buying a new gaming laptop soon.

I’ve had a couple of Razer Blades before. They both developed the same fault; whereby the glue on the rubber feet on the underside seem to melt off. Unacceptable given the price. Looking at the 2023 range, they seem to have moved away from the one continuous foot at the front; and moved to 2 separate feet. Not sure if this fixes the problem. Would still like a Blade (assuming we don’t have the same issue).

I’d consider Alienware, but the 300 nit screen seems a limitation.

Anything else to consider?

Lenovo Legion or Asus would be my pick. People seem to have issues with Asus support but the product is otherwise great.

Lenovo Legion is probably still the best gaming laptop for the price.

If you want really top-end Lenovo has just announced the Legion 9i range with an i9-13980HX and RTX 4080 or 4090 with liquid cooling. You'll need deep pockets though as the starting price is £3750.....

Went on the hunt for this.... 4-5 week delivery now....

True, Predators are really well built as I'm currently using one ( and waiting for my new Aorus 17X). There is also plenty of space for upgrade in most new laptops so except specs I think the best way is just watch some videos on Youtube for exact model with desired specs and then decide

Believe it or not; I ended up with a ROG X16 Flow. The form factor appealed to me. Yeah, it’s “only” a 4070, but the screen is amazing and I really enjoy the convertible aspect. For serious gaming, I’ll use my main system.
