Hey, I was thinking of putting a fan on the top of my "coolermaster wavemaster" instead of those usb cables and the other junk that was preinstalled.

Has anybody here noticed a fair difference in temperatures? I'm guessing it should seen as heat rises.

thanks

Lol, good point on exhausts heat.
Ok well this seems like a practicle way to reduce the heat inside my case, seen as i don't already have a fan to exhaust the heat. :D

I've found everytime I've installed a fan in the "roof" of a case it makes no difference at all. I thought it would do seeing as heat rises, but me case/hardware temps still remained the same.
I believe "yewen", the case guru here has said the same thing.

In a PC7+ it basically does nothing to very little.

In a Wavemaster having one as a intake can usually provide good results, you never know if it will work with your system until you try it.

An intake on a Wavemaster and the 201/110 chassis in general seems to work better than using it as an exhaust in my experience, the front intake on the Wave is limited and really does benefit from the extra intake.

Although, if your PC is stable under the current cooling why the need for a change? :)

I would'nt cut up a case just to put a fan in tbh.

I've had a celing fan in a lian li and did'nt really notive much difference.

Maybe just get more powerful fan for intake/outlet??

The wavemaster can have a 80mm top fan at stock. :)

The wavemaster's front intake is limited and just throwing more CFM at it hardly ever gives worth while performance gains sadly.
