Hello all

A few friends and myself have started a clan under the tag [CG] (Celebrity Gaming) and I was hoping to see if there were any of the old BF/ET vets, or any other players that have at least played one FPS at a decent competitive level, that may be interested in joining a ETQW clan. We have a couple of servers running at the moment with full funding from a couple of companies, i'll post those details later if people are interested.

If you are interested in joining or have any questions then either reply here, drop me an email (trust) or join #celebritygaming (quakenet) and we can get a few matches sorted out to see what you have got.

The criteria is quite simple:

  • Over 18 / mature
  • willing to participate in day cup competitions (i.e ESL), other ladders/leagues and sometimes Lans
  • Has at least played at a good standard in one FPS game

We have all played at very high levels in various FPS games and are looking for 2-3 more to compete with the big shots of Quake Wars. It wont be a casual clan for people that say "i might be around that day" then decide to not show, it will be multiple matches a few nights a week, concentration, common sense and a tactical head are required.

Thanks for reading.

[Edit] I remembered now someone once said they werent sure if you could post a recruitment thread, i checked and double checked faq etc and theres nothing saying you cant. If a mod could clarify that would be great, apologies if you arent allowed to [/edit]

This will be binned I'm afraid, no recruiting threads allowed. Shame as I used to play CS competively back in the day, but unfortunately the demands of life prevent me from playing in anything bar a casual clan.

Awesome game though.

Indeed its good fun, its just a shame theres no mention of recruiting in the FAQ for the forums, or a set of rules for the PC Games section. It also seems people openly recruit for their own clans that may initially start with an OcUK group name but often changes by the end of a thread.

Personally im aiming to get back IN to the competitive scene since having a few years break now. Worst thing with ETQW though is the inability to really see who shines in a public or pickup :(

Fairplay, give us your ETQW ID and i'll add you to my friends list - always like playing with people I "know" ;)
