After many hours of reading about having the rad fans pulling air through and exhausting out the top of the case versus them blowing through the rad into the case, I decided to try for myself and thought I'd put up my results.
I am using x3 xigmatek crystal fans at 1500rpm in pull but set as intake.
With a mild oc of 4.4ghz using offset volts, my 2500k reached an average of 50 degrees across all cores with an ambient of 22 degrees. This is about 8-10 degrees less than I was getting with the fans exhausting out of the case.
I was worried dumping heat into the case would have an effect on my gtx 480 but it hasn't as the temps are the same and I have a 99cfm fan blowing directly at the card if needed using the gpu duct
So, which orientation are your top-mounted rad fans?
