Hi all,

I am currently on the look out for a new case for my current PC system which is built around a Micro ATX motherboard with a view to upgrading to a brand new Core 2 Duo DirectX 10 system in about four months.

I was thinking of getting either the Thermaltake Sugo or TJ08 as they seem well designed and of a good size.

My question is can these cases deal with the heat of a top of the range system?
I will be looking to get a 2.0Ghz or more Core 2 Duo with a top of the range DX10 graphics card and at least 1GB of ram. Is this possible?

Thanks

i ended up going with a Lian Li V300. Nice case but i had to take the dremmel to it to fit in my 8800GTS!

Apart from that its all good, 2 x 80mm @ the front 1 80mm @ the side

I have just bought the following:

Intel Core 2 DUO E4300 "LGA775 Allendale" 1.80GHz (800FSB)
Asrock Conroe945G-DVI (Socket 775) PCI-Express
Antec TruePower Trio 430W PSU
Zalman CNPS8000 Ultra Quiet Low Profile Cooler

All which fits into a

Lian-Li PC-V300 Aluminum Micro ATX Mini Tower Case

Which I have my 4300 running @ 2.2Ghz and the heat is @ idle about 35ish

What kind of spec are you running?

I be running a Core Duo T2500 (2GHz Dual Core), 8800GTS 320MB, 2GB 4200, 300GB Maxtor, NEC SATA DVD-RW, XFX Revo64! non of its working @ the sec coz my Hyper 580 Type R PSU doesnt fit!!! :( just waiting for my Corsair 620W to turn up today :)

Have to say i am tempted by the Abit Fatality F-I90HD & a 4300

So the general consensus is that running the top spec hardware within small form factor cases is fine as long as it isn't overclocked and that you make sure it all fits ok? :)

Also what does everyone think of the Silverstone Sugo? I think it looks like a good case, any resons not to go for it?

Thanks again

Nice looking cases but i've never owned one!

I used to have an Antec Aria but cooling on that was awful, it was in dire need of a couple of intake fans. which is why i opted for the v300 in the end

I overclock in mine! :)

To be honest I don’t overclock anyway so its not an issue for me. I was more worried about the possibility of running something like Crysis causing the whole thing to overheat and die.

Nah no chance with the Lian-Li PC-V300 is a great case and very cool :)

Nice case, just got to be careful with the gfx card (no bigger than 8800gts) and the psu, the cables can get in the way.
Other than that its fine until you want to change something, its a pita to get to some of the areas once its all put together.
