top spin 2 - serving question

I've been playing this a little recently, just wondering if anyone can tell me how on earth to score aces from serves! I suck at risk shots (currently raising focus to help) any tips? it just always seems to go out

I have the same prob, the cursor moves too fast all the time for me to get a good server

you can use the left thumb stick to give some direction (though if you hold for too long with the risk hots it could go out).

But it'll all be about practice timing those shots and aimin in the right place (depending on where the opponent is stood).

Saying that i didnt rely to much on the serves and only managed 1 ace myself, hehe

Serve dont really matter, I found a soft serve was better as it didnt then get returned as fast.

ask snipergecko lol, he hated me acing him everytime with roddick

iirc i just held the R trigger and A, then let go of them both at the top, you just need to practise getting the right point

Once you get the timing right you can do it pretty much everytime, wont always guarantee an ace though.

As danny said, a slightly slower serve with more curve going away from the opponent can be a better option

I've done ok so far using a top spin server to near the net and the outside edge of the court, it makes my opponent run wide and I just return it cross court to the other side, 80% of the time he doesn't get near it.

I have done two aces so far but I think it was more down to the CPU opponent having a "duh" moment than any skill on my part
