I know that your career finishes after 5yrs... but can you still use that character online or do I have to start again?

I've not got any of the online achievements yet and so don't want to finish the 5yrs if it means I need a new character to go online etc.
 
no doubt you can use the character online still

be rather silly otherwise - i cant confirm cos my dave game corrupted so i need to start again, but id be 99% sure
 
Just playing the Jubliee series... one week to go before end of yr 5.

My jubliee matches so far...

nemises = hewitt (3-1, 3-0)
top rank = federa (3-0, 3-0)
rematch = moya.. (currently playing)
not sure what comes next.....
