Top Webdesigner needed

I need to do some research in to a webdesigner - their work, their ethos etc. and i'm trying to find one that has good design style (visual) as well as their technical ability (Which actually isn't as important as what the site looks like).

Does anybody have any reccomendations? Like I said, I need to be able to talk about their design style and also a little bit about them if possible.

Andy Clarke's page here might be of use - all noted and respected designers - Jon Hicks, John Oxton, Andy Budd etc. Not forgetting other oft-mentioned names from the blogosphere such as Shaun Inman (mint, shortstat etc.), Dave Shea (mezzoblue) and Jason Santa Maria.

Thanks for those mate, just what I was looking for.
I've got to investigate another designer to discuss techniques and styles based on context, then apply my findings to my own work to create a website that fits in with the corporate identity of a magazine. Fun stuff!
