Oops, I missed a 'b' in the title.

I've got £48.24 cashback which is now payable from TCB into my bank account or PayPal. But it says:

"You have £48.24 payable cashback. Please note, £5.00 has been retained from your payable cashback below for your annual membership deduction."

So it's £43 24 I get.

I believe this is for their Plus membership. Not the end of the world but I don't remember signing up for anything other than the basic, and certainly have never paid any fees to Quidco when I've used them. Does anyone think I would have earned less than £43.24 without their Plus membership?

QuidCo has the same thing. You get 'auto-enrolled' practically. The fiver covers the team chasing up any cashback and sometimes attracts premium rates.

Yeah, Quidco have a similar thing but I don't recall them ever changing my account status and retaining any of my cashbacks. Maybe they have now, I haven't used them for a while.

IIRC when I first joined up the only option was £5 annual 'fee' from your cashback, the 'basic' version came along after and I think possibly the default is you are a premium member unless you opt out..

It's a bit shady if it defaults to that, but considering you only 'pay' from your cashback, it's not quite on the same level of Dell warranties etc..

I've just gone for the payout today and transferred the money to my bank account and then I opted not to be renewed to the Plus membership and to go back to their 'classic' membership.

£2300 here. Best one was Habito mortgage advisor. Free service, got £500 cashback. Then a further £500 from the mortgage itself.

Very nice you did well there. I just checked my Quidco account and forgot there's £30 waiting so have transferred that as well as my TCB. A grand total of £73. Not quite in your league though. :p
