Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Also, the speakers are 50w but the amp is only 38w per channel.

Could this damage the speakers or will it be OK, just less power? If for a bedroom so not needing "FULL POWA" to be honest.

Thanks.

The headline wattage claims on a lot of these small Class D / Class T amps are hopelessly over-optimistic.

You'll be lucky to see 7-10 Watts per channel real world power.

It's rare to damage a speaker with an excess of clean low-distortion power. 100 Watt amp combined with 50 Watt speakers... no problem.

What's far more likely to damage speakers is a small amp pulling its guts out and running in to distortion. The harmonics of a high distortion signal cause the tweeter voice coil to overheat and distort. Bink! Blown tweeter.

Topping is one of the better-made T amps, but they're all cut from the same cloth. High-efficiency speakers, upgrade the power supply, and be careful how hard you drive the system; that's the way with these.
