Torchlight - anyone else who just couln't be bothered with last boss?

So finally got to end boss - after about 25 hours rather than the 15 or so I though it would take to complete this - and got his health down to about half, when I died and when respawning near entrance, accidentally clicked to go upstairs, which resets all progress, and I just don't know if I can be bothered to try again.

Game was great to start, but wore out it's welcome I feel by being longer than it should for something so repetitive, and I just don't know if I can be bothered to spend all the time it takes just to kill the final boss.

It's not going to be hard to kill him, it's just going to take forever!

Anyone else give up then?

I nearly did, wasn't a fun boss to fight at all. In fact I abused a door glitch to fight him, I made him come to the starter door area, the spawn point and just spammed the crap and running around in that area.

I enjoyed Torchlight, just wish there was more to it, after a while like you said it got too repetitive.

It's quite possibly one of the, if not THE, worst bosses i've fought in a game. It's just so dull.

I have pumped 20 hours into this game according to steam. I though it was a pretty decent game but i too have become bored finding it all too repetitive. I seem to pick it up every couple of weeks just to burn through a couple of levels as i want to finish it.

I do that with most hack and slash games, none have much of a story line and get repetative after a while.

The last boss made me rage big time. I gave up for a while then went on and done it first time was so random.

When I got to him I took him out in about 10 seconds on my destroyer, and all the adds died in 1 hit. :/

Was easy I thought. Went all defensive with destroyer and shield. Took ages to kill but wasn't difficult with all the healing pots that drop from adds.

What difficulty are we talking about?

There are builds which can kill the final boss fairly fast even on the highest difficulties. But I'd imagine the 10 seconds kill time has to be on easy, with a OP build.

Got bored after an hour/90 minutes. Just didn't catch me long enough to want me to go back.

Or Torchlight 2. Agreably Diablo 3 is THE game I'm looking forward to now (that and maybe DA2...and ME3

).

Nope, hardest setting.
