I run a GTX680 within my main system. I am completely happy with it, but if I was buying now I would choose the 7970. Both offer very similar peformance but the 7970 is substantially cheaper, offers a nicer games bundle, plus has more VRAM for use with uber monitors or settings.

Saying all that, I would likely buy a 7950 instead due to even better value and almost the same clock vs clock performance as the 7970.

This shows that it was down to you/your system that it didn't run well for you but ok for someone else.

Hot? lol, my ref 7970 never went over 75c in game when overclocked to 1150/1650mhz. The reason AMD underperformed compared to Nvidia, is because back then AMD wasn't cosy in bed with the game developers like Nvidia was/is, unlike now where AMD is as well.

There is a huge difference between a "brand defender" and a blatant "brand basher"

I never bash Nvidia, I do bash AMD where they deserve it, you don't have to look far back through my posts to see me bashing AMD, its a fairly regular occurrence.... But yes, i will defend them where they don't deserve it, and where its just blatantly an agenda to try and establish a falsehood.

No it shows that the drivers sucked and AMD did not get them sorted out for the hardware I used.

I've no doubt at all it was down to my monitor. I had a LG 3D monitor. However what I found (and still find) hilarious is that my monitor is actually recommended and endorsed by AMD as a part of their deal with Tridef. You see, AMD CBA supporting 3D so they have outsourced it to Tridef who are a bunch of noobs (people are still waiting for BF3 support). Thus LG bundle the Tridef software WITH the monitor and it's actually listed on AMD's site.

So what a bunch of complete noobs can't even release a driver that works properly with the monitor.

And that's just it - noobs and money. AMD are worth the drippings from Nvidia's balls and it shows. Look how long it took AMD to get a driver out that makes their cards perform as they should. Nuff said I think.

It doesn't surprise me that you are still defending them and saying it was down to me. Nor did the pathetic and chidish emails through trust that you sent me after I got a temporary ban. Do that again and I will report you.

You all have been warned before that trolling and childish arguing in GC will not be tolerated. Adult debate is fine, but some people need to step up their maturity level before posting here.
