Torn between these VGA Coolers

I'm in a little pickle at the moment.

I'm currently in the process of changing coolers on my 8800GT as my trusty Zalman VF700-AlCu (which is the part copper/part alluminium one) is on its last legs.

Now I do not have much choice in coolers as my PCIex1 slot is directly below my GFX Card and I use it for my wireless so big heatsinks with 80mm fans strapped to them is a no go.

So, I have managed to squeeze it down to 3 choices. I have trawlled the net and found that all 3 fit the 8800GT reference so its all good there.

Present temps with the VF700-AlCu are 45c idle and 62c load so not bad.

When I get either of these, I will have a further 8 ramsinks totalling 16 so I will have some spare to go on the mosfets etc...

Which one do you think would be the better?

Well best performer there is the VF-900 by far. Had one myself on my 7900GS and it was a beut. Didn't know they still cooled well enough for the 8xxx+ and 2xxx+ range cards.

VF700 is not really cut out for modern cards. VF900 should be ok. I have one on a X1900XT which is heavily clocked and it works well on that so should be fine with a 8800GT. A thermalright HR03 would fit with the fins over the rear of the card. The only thing that may be a problem is that the ram heatsinks would have no air blowing over them directly. Not a massive problem though as they really don't get very warm anyway. My 8800GT has a waterblock on the core and Zalman ramsinks on the memory and they do not have a fan directly over them. The front case intake fan seems to be enough.

The problem I have with the P5N-E SLI is the massive heatsink on the Northbridge.

The dimensions of the Thermalright H-03 is too big even to raise above the card instead of having it underneath which would be in the way of the PCIex1 slot for the Wireless Card.

I can only have a heatsink that would fit into the single slot category and although the Accelero S1 would be a good choice, again it would be in the way of the Wireless Card. I have read that i can fit the PCIex1 Wireless Card into the second PCIex16 slot but cannot for the life in me get it to work :(

The dual orb that ocuk have just got in stock would be perfect for the job but the reviews are suggesting very noisy fans.

The only other alternative is this Thermalright V2:

A good single slot solution and very thin plus the reviews have been pretty damn good on them. Anyone got one of these puppies? :D

Is there space on the other side of the card? Zalman have a cooler that raps around the card - will find it now.

edit:/ VNF100 - awesom cooling (might want to check that only read a couple of reviews) and takes up a smaller and different realestate to the normal passive cooler.

A good passive cooler but unfortunately I need something I can strap a fan onto.

Especially need to get some good cooling on the ramsinks and that fits the other way up.
