I'm looking at an upgrade for my Ultrawide but im really torn on which direction to go. I currently have a VA panel Gigabyte G34WQC which I have been reasonably happy with, but I'd like something better from a contrast and HDR in gaming. I also use this monitor for the days I work from home, and I cant deny that having an ultrawide screen for spreadsheets, etc is great. However, I'm open to the idea of changing to a 32 inch 4k non ultrawide.

There are some good deals around at the moment particularly on OLED and I love the black level and contrast on OLED as im used to that on my TV , but im torn about risking an OLED monitor when I will use it 40% for productivity. If it had been 80/20 I'd not worry but im just concerned that 40-45% of use for spreadsheets and work where the screen will be static in large part is a bit too high.

For OLED Im looking at the two options which are in the 6-700 mark in the Black Friday sales:-

Alienware - AW3425DW

Gigabyte - MO34WQC2

Samsung - Odyssey G8 LS34DG85

Are there any other good choices people are using as an alternative using a good LCD/LED I'd seen that Mini-LED monitors can provide a really good alternative to OLED without the risk of longer term burn in, but there does not seem to be too many choices in this area.

Does anyone have any good recommendations for monitors around 6-700, either a 32 inch or 34 UW

Have looked at

TCL - 34 inch WQHD Mini-LED

Samsung - Odyssey Neo Quantum Mini LED G85NB (32 non UW)

The TCL one looks like its had some decent reviews but I have not seen any reviews on the big channels or sites. I was drawn to the Samsung (maybe incorrectly due to brand) but seems to have mixed reviews.

Super high refresh rates are not so important. Im using a 9070XT and tend to play mainly single player games with quality rather than crazy refresh rates.

Its all a bit of a minefield, so any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
