Toronto Lomo Shots

All taken with my Lomo LC-A film camera. The only edits done are the conversions to black and white in Photoshop. Other than that I don't edit my Lomo shots. The whole point is to simply capture life. The normal rules go out the window and all you're left with is simple fun.

I'm well aware of people who hate lomography. I really think they've clearly got issues and forgotton what photography is. I've seen images exposed onto cloth and turned into a dress. Thats still photography. Hell it was amazing really. I've seen a van turned into a pin hole camera. Thats just amazing. I love what people do and this is why I love my Lomo. Its freedom from Canon L glass tack sharp nice bokeh tech heads. They can all bite my shiny metal 100-400

I think the lomo things fine as long as it's done well, it's just using it for the sake of using it which gets me, same as HDR. When done well it's effective, when used for the sake of it it's not worth it.

HDR is a technique, lomo is a camera. Its as real as the photos from any other film camera. Oh and it was my foot

It was ISO200 stuff bought from a local store.

Yeah you can. I've never tried it though, well not on purpose

You can use any normal 35mm film in them. As for high street developers, Boots is best. I get mine with a photo cd to save scanning time. As long as the film is a C41 film they can do it.

Yeah I wasn't ranting at you, just the general haters. As much hype as there is theres also the haters of it. Its like Nikon vs Canon, Apple vs PC, Xbox vs PS etc.

I know one famous photographer, and I can't remember is name, said "Black and White is for photography" and colour (color - might have been American) is for painting.

Nice shots especially the floor of the underground train and the salt cellar! The floor of the train shot is cropped to perfection too!

I do love a good black and white shot and the lomo does produce some nice shots.
