Hi there.

Looking for a torrent client that will let me specify which files within the torrent I don't want to download.
For example if I only want to download the .nfo of a file rather than the whole whack.

I currently use Transmission on OSX and uTorrent on Windows. I can do it in uTorrent but can't find anywhere in Transmission to do it.

Any suggestions?
Free ideally.

I think Aszures is the only 1 that lets you choose individual files.

A list of torrent apps can be found in the sticky if you wish to see what other torrent apps people on here are using :)

FYI: That feature is being added to Transmission in the next build (which you can download off the site)
 
Transmission 0.80 is out today. They've added file selection and creation.


Word of warning - make sure you complete any downloads before updating tho - I lost about 4Gb on one torrent earlier...

I noticed this too, does seem quicker now as well.. very pleased with it :)
 
Aye, this new version is kicking ass and taking names :)

It has crashed a few times, though, that said, safari's been acting up, too.

Thats funny, I've been having problems today with a few app's just crashing randomly! Wierd.

Lovin' the new Transmission though. The upgrade script had a warning in bold on it about loosing data if you continue :p I continued but never lost anything.

I'd really love to be able to make the display of each torrent just text only though, so it would be easier to display more torrents without making the window so big, if you know what I mean?

Haven't tried compact-mode in the menu have you? ;)
