Just chiming in with my thoughts. I switched to Deluge recently since utorrent has gone to the dogs.

Pros: open source, simple interface, excellent download speeds (it's said to deal well with traffic shaped connections), plugins provide any extra needed functions (e.g. scheduler), powerful list of settings.
Cons: seems to be using up to 3% of cpu all the time, even with no torrents(?). This is on vista so maybe an old bug.

Just had a bad experience with uTorrent myself. It was perfect in 2008 but not any more.

Do you have to setup port forwarding with your router to use this?

Mine worked "out-the-box" with UPnP enabled by default. Easiest set up ever.

If your router doesn't have UPnP (it would have to be ancient...) just forward it manually.
