Torrent Encryption

Hello all does torrent encryption really work someone said to me it’s to get around the throttling that some isps do is this true? Also do any of you use it and if you do what is the purpose you use it for?

It seems to work, but if your ISP throttles the entire connection, eg BT, Virgin Media - then its useless.

uTorrent can do it i believe
most use it to get around ISP or LAN throttling/restrictions

though even thats getting blocked a lot of the time
