hi guys can someone please tell me why when i set my max upload to No Limit i only upload at 6kb no matter how many sedders/leechers there are

do i need to change any settings on router or torrent client ?

Have you tried using a port opening batch file? I remember having to do this to get downloads speeds to increase, its to do with xp limiting the open ports

What torrent client are you using? If its uTorrent do you get a green tick at the bottom?

You might need to setup a service in your router to direct traffic from port x to your internal IP.

Give PortForward.com a try. That'll help you get the router set up proper.

Im with UKFSN the download speeds are great 500k + but the upload are very slow 5-10k  it only seems to be doing this on vista.

when i was on xp and using bit comet id get like 80k upload.

How exactly do i setup portforwarding ?

Within uTorrent there is an encryption options which is for users that feel their ISP is slowing their d & u via p2p.

ive been struggling with bt homehub since i been back home from uni... just did a dabble at its much better
Yeah it really works. I used to download RyanVM's update pack for XP/nLite and would struggle to get any decent speeds with uTorrent. I had a red cross or whatever at the bottom.

Spoke to bledd on MSN one day, he linked me to PortForward.com and I got an increase in speed. Didn't get the green tick, yellow triangle instead.

Later on I wondered why this was, turned out I'd forgotten to follow one step. I'd set up the outwards stuff but not the inwards stuff. Did that and the speeds rocketed.
