This is considered one of the best atm. linky

Transmission: Based on libtransmission hence banned at many private trackers due to its announce interval issues.

Xtorrent: Based on libtransmission hence banned at many trackers. Written by Watanabe so end-user likely to be screwed over in near future. Watch this space.

IMO Azureus is the only viable Mac torrent client with DHT/PEX/Protocol Encryption...but it makes my MacBook (with 512MB RAM :( ) run like a snail

Azureus is good in some ways (it is the most complete) but on the downside it's a Java app and therefore very sluggish.

Transmission is quite nice but you can't deselect files inside a torrent and it's banned on a few trackers.

Tomato Torrent is OK if you're looking for something very light.

Transmission if you need a lightweight app. Use Azureus only if you must as SWT makes even fast machines grind to a halt.

I really, really, really, wish ludde would GPL µTorrent. It runs nicely under WINE but that's a hassle.

Tomato Torrent is very nice if you want a quick and easy torrent client!

Bits on Wheels is nice also but I don't think it has a UB :(

Seeing as Transmission is being banned, I'd say Tomato Torrent is the best.

I don't know. I've had a chance to stress test thanks to OiNK's holiday free for all. I'm sucking down 22 torrents simultaneously and it's using roughly 8% CPU and 85MB memory on my MacBook. Other apps are still nice and responsive. I found the Mac only clients I tried either seriously anorexic or too rough around the edges - the resource requirements of the otherwise excellent Azureus don't seem to be a problem in practice.

Is it possible to change the ports on tomato torrent? I like transmission, but seeing as it's being banned on trackers i decided to try something else.

Not 100%.. I'd guess you must be able to, but it hasn't got many other options

I vaguely remember changing it though..
