This looks to be well rated, and I can find online for around £850 ... is there anything better for the money ?
I was hoping for a 37" ... but I think there isn't much thats any good in that size below £1K ?

Only other thing is only 2 scarts, which seems common.
My current TV has 3 and I use all of them ...

You could get the 32" Toshiba 32WLT58 for about £150 more, which has 3x Scarts and 2xHDMI - it's basically the newest version of the same set and very highly rated. There's a review over at www.homecinemachoice.com/reviews

I've got the 37" version coming in the next couple of days :D

Nice, let us know your thoughts Icebus :)
Thanks for the link to the reviews, very handy :D

I found that new model online for £1050 ... perhaps if I search harder I could find it under 1k ;)

With a built in digital reciever, can you record to a dvd recorder via the scart,or not ?

I have just been eying up the Tosh 36ZP48P CRT ... that looks very nice too .. wonder If I can find that cheap as its CRT ;)

I've just read through the 32WLT58 manual and you can indeed record from the built in freeview decoder via the EXT3 Scart. You can set it up to output basically any signal coming in to the TV.

Looks like I won't get my grubby mitts on it until after the weekend unless I get very lucky.

Bad luck Icebus, still, good things come to those who wait ;)

Spotted a Panasonic TH37PE50B Plasma at a local store for £999, 3 scarts and built in freeview tuner with top up slot ... not HD but TBH I wouldn't pay sky's prices and although I want to get an Xbox360, that doesn't justify HD on its own.

Talking of which, I assume its fine to play consoles on Plasma ?
