Just found this. Can be had for around £650

Has 1.8 Turion, 2GB, Vista Premium and a HD radeon 2600 (virtually as good as an 8600 gt on tomsharware benchmarks)

Anybody know anything about it. Lots of talk of the Dell Vostro 1500 on this site but this seems as good, same price and isnt ugly.

Battery life is only around 1hour 10mins though on cnet's battery eater test

thanks

OK. Thanks. That's what I figured. Any idea how long the battery'll last compared to the dell vostro with 6 cell battery?

Less than half as long. You can get a 9 cell for the tosh but basically toshs are useless if you need a laptop you can run off the battery for long periods. Keep 'em close to a wall point and they're cracking.

Hello Guys,

I've got this laptop and really like it. The battery life is not great but its ok for surfing the net for a little say prob around 2 Hours. Its not going to be a good as the Dell for battery life IMO?

Its ideal for me as i use it mainly on my desk for internet and msn but can still play the odd game or two away from my desk.

Let me know if you have any questions and i will answer what i can!

Hi Michael

Thanks for the offer of help. Yeah I guess the only thing stopping me from buying it is the graphics card is a bit of an unknown quantity (the radeon hd2600) and, though supposedly in the same league as the 'tried and tested' 8600gt on the dell it might not be able to run my favourite game Oblivion as well as the 8600gt can - which I know can do 30-40fps on medium settings. Have you got Oblivion?
