Hi guys,
Just doing a wipe and restore for a friend, laptop in title, fairly new and decent spec, 6gb ram, i3 etc etc.. installed W7 64 bit from a disc I know works fine (used loads) as normal.
I've been trying to get drivers for it (used a usb wifi dongle and driver on mem stick) and ran windows update (normally finds all drivers after a few restarts)
The problem is, as well as not being able to find various drivers for it, I've noticed it's incredibly slow, like not just a bit, but like it will randomly freeze up if I press the windows key, or open IE to get on google etc.
I've checked resource monitor, cpu/ram and disk usage are all basically 0% but it's all frozen up (mouse moves but I can't ctrl alt del, or anything).
So my question is, what on earth could be happening?
Cheers,
Jamie
