A friend has just bought another 1gb stick of ram for her Toshiba laptop (using the Crucial compatibility guide, so she definitely has the right memory). Anyway, her laptop originally had 512mb in one stick, so she added the new 1gb into the other slot to give a total of 1.5gb. However, the laptop simply refuses to boot with all of this memory in place. However, the odd thing is, with either stick on its own, it boots no problem at all, it's just with both sticks at once it won't boot.
Does anyone have any ideas?
TIA,
Michael.
EDIT - Sorry, problem solved by switching the sticks in their slots. Please delete!
