So I've just had my old faithful Lenovo replaced in work.......

The've given me a Toshiba Tecra M11 I5 - 4gb..... Seems ok, - quite heavy but solid.

(I5 M20 @ 2.4 ghz.... it shows 4 cores, however I'm guessing its 2 real and 2 virtual ?)

It has the "Intel HD graphics media accelerator" when I check the GPU - this is the onboard CPU graphics?

I guess what I would like to know is - what are the gaming limits with this laptop?

I travel and work away a fair bit.... it'd be nice to get a good RPG on here to whittle away the hours when I finally drag myself out of excel.... I'd rather have an idea straight out than trial and error loading lots onto the machine.

Thanks!

Is it a Gen 2 i5 which will have 4 numbers in the processor code beginning with 2 from i5-2410M to i5-2557M or is it a Gen 1 i5 which will have 3 numbers beginning with 5 such as i5-580M? A google search has only found me the Gen 1 versions.

If it is Gen 2 then it has the HD3000 graphics which are shown benchmarked here. Please note that this scales with the CPU and the fastest results are with an i7. http://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-HD-Graphics-3000.37948.0.html

If it is a Gen 1 then you have the HD GMA solution in which case, some old RTS games may be in reach or some very old fps.
