Toshibe Satellite A100-756 Ram

Below is my current Ram configuration;

Ram

Installed Size: 1 GB / 4 GB (max)

Technology: DDR II SDRAM - 533 MHz

Configuration Features: 2 x 512 MB

I am thinking about upgrading my labtop, can anyone confirm if this new ram will work;

Corsair 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-5300C5 200-Pin SODIMM Dual Channel Kit (VS2GSDSKIT667D2)

Thanks I wanted to know this too, sounds the same as my dads anyway.

Edit - my dads is a Toshiba Equium A100-147

Current ram is PC2-4200 DDR2 533, will the PC2-5300 work ok in its place?

Yup. The laptop will downclock it to PC2-4200 speed if it can't run it at PC-5300 speed.

Cheers, I thought that would be the case so ordered it anyway not long after I posted.

Good old OcUK, got order confirmation at 4:28 and dispatch notice at 4:38 and they say it will be here tomorrow, if it comes tomorrow I will be amazed. Thanks OcUK!

Recently upgraded my sisters toshiba laptop from 2x512 pc2-4200 to 2x1GB pc2-5300, and it auto adjusted itself to run at 5300 speeds. It's made a massive improvement to it's performance.
