Hi 8 pack first post so here it goes.
Basically i'm a novice when it comes to overclocking and i'm trying to achieve certain clock and ram speed for playing guild wars 2. it seems that guild wars 2 achieves better frame rates every time i up the clock speed by 100 mhz.
What i have achieved so far:
pc will boot with 4.3 ghz and ram set at 1800 nothing else changed and will run all day on any game.
But that is all i know how to do. up the multiplier and set the ram until it fails to boot. this seems far from achieveing optimal performance though
i have no understanding of ram timings so could you explain that to me?
i have no understanding on adjusting voltage either.
what i would like to achieve:
4.5 ghz and ram at its rated speed at least. and then learn how to fine tune timings though i'm not sure what they actually do.
sorry if any of this is vague if i have missed anything let me know
Thanks
