TOTAL PHYSICAL MEMORY IN SYSTEM INFORMATION

In System Information it shows
Installed Physical Memory 8 GB
Total Physical Memory 4 GB
Available Physical Memory 6.32 GB

Anybody explain why Total Memory shows as 4 GB

I havethe following setup
Gigabyte EX58 UD3R Motherboard
Intel i7 920 2.67 Ghz Processor
8 Gb Crucial DDR3 1066 Memory
Vista Home Premium 64 bit with
Service Pack 1 and all updates installed
 
Yes I have updated the BIOS and load Optimized Default as Gigabyte recommended. This then showed correctly amount of Memory installed but made no difference to Sytem Info Total Physical Memory
