I have built my system and all the USB ports on the back of the case, coming directly from the motherboard are working perfect, even the USB 3.0 ports :-)

But for some reason the USB 2.0 and 3.0 are causing problems on the front of my case the USB 2.0 only work with the first controller I put into it all other controllers do not work, and the USB 3.0 ports constantly say device not recognised even though the controllers work from the USB 3.0 ports on the rear of the case.

Has anyone got any suggestions for this thanks :-)

I have this motherboard Gigabyte Z77-D3H Intel Z77 motherboard, and have just upgraded to this case BitFenix Shinobi USB3.0 Gaming Windowed Case - Black

Are you connecting the USB3 front panel to a USB 3 header? Some GB boards also require you to install the drivers for the front panel.

Yes I have connected it to the motherboard, as the pc knows you have plugged something into the USB 3.0 slots, but comes up device not recognised then there is the problem with the USB 2.0 slots only recognising one device

This is what device manager displays when plugging a USB 3.0 device into one of the front USB 3.0 ports, if it is of any help to everyone

Seagate 1Tb portable hard drive and have also tried my games controllers in the front ports and get the same faults, but all these items work perfect from the rear ports

Go into Device manager and try updating the driver(s) for the device(s). Failing that download the drivers and install manually.
Also, check the USB3 header on your mobo and make sure you have not bent any of the pins.
Did your devices work OK on your last case?

I did not have anything plugged into the USB 3 on my other case this is the first time using it, All the drivers are saying they are up to date or none available will check the pins on the board later :(

You won't beleive this, I went back to the MB and decided to take all the cables out and start again, and I could seriously through this pc out the window  LOL, all ports are now working apart from one USB 2 port on the front

I imagine you can live without the USB 2 port. :D

Nice to see you got it sorted. ;)

I have similar problem with the same motherboard...sometimes it works fine, other times it decides not too...could be a problem with the boards (I've not overly investigated as I can live with it)
