Totally new to Oc'ing!

Hi,

I have just purchased a new rig:

E6600
Asus P5N - E SLI
Geil 2gb pc6400
Corsair 520w
P180

I have read the beginners guide to ocverlocking.

What should I do first?

Do i set my RAM timing's then try oc'ing?

For starters go into the BIOS and disable everything that may hinder the overclock, for example, Speedstep....

Then go into the Memory section, might be loacted under North Brigde Settings and manually set the timmings to 4-4-4-12, the voltages for the Geli Memory ranges from 1.9-2.3, so try 1.9 first and so on. Then boot into windows and just run everything at stock for an hour or so.
