Hi all,
Im well out of touch with whats what cpu and processor wise these days.
My folks want a new pc for 500 quid ish (could stretch if necessary)

We will probably re use our Coolermaster Wavemaster case.
We would just require the components then really.

Would be nice for it to deal with a few newish games but its mainly what ever we can get really.
Also would need windows 7 as we dont have anything other than xp.
Any thoughts?
I have no real allegeince to brands.
Although i generally like ATI :p

Thanks guys
A few of those looks cool! Ill take a look at them now.
I dont have anything to reuse really.
Its all a bit 2004

I actually left this a while but are there any changes to make to the suggestions above.
Based upon the recommendations so far I would be inclined to go a main HDD no larger than 500-750gb (We wont need any more)

And then use one of those ssd on deal for the os?

With upgrade installs wouldnt i need to install XP on the new pc first and then windows 7/8 though?

Garrrrrggghhhhh
Stupid case. Ive stripped it down, drilled out the holes for more airflow( which you cant see) and then assembled everything on the mobo tray.

Problem number 1
The area where you screw in the case for the pci cards etc is about 5mm high, this means that the part of the connector closest to the rear of the case is not totally in all the way home.

Problem 2
The psu hole in my case is so flush to the new psu that ot tears off the stickers.
And when fully in the atx connector is so far up top that part of the psu cage overlaps the connector.

Problem 3
I need a new case that is no bigger than
45.5 high
21.5wide
And 54cm deep

That can obviously fit the bits due to non stupid mobo tray design/psu cage design.

Any ideas? Under 80 would be nice
