Up untill last week its all been running lovely apart from the various teething problems at the eairly stages................... (till they sorted with bios updates)
But now all of a suddon im getting completly random Bsod's with the error Nv4disp.dll Stuck in device error thread infinite loop rubbish blar blar etc etc i though ok ram issuse after reading about the high performance ram failing i rung the tech departmant the said test ya ram etc so ive done that with memtest86 and it pass's every time, ok so not the ram or is it?
So since then im on my 3rd format, after formatting reinstalling the bare minimum of software all appeared to be fine for 1-2 days then i start to get the same errors and the dreaded BSOD, no hardware has been changed nothing, i have also noticed my mouse behaving rather wierd upon rebooting after a lockup it doesnt seem to work untill i unplug it and stick it in again and when browsing the internet the mouse will just randomly stop working then the machine seems to lock up and guess what BSOD nv4disp.dll.
Everything is at factory default my machine is not overclocked in anyway
The Temperatures are as follows,
CPU :38c
System : 30c
Gpu :63 after a gaming session it moves to about 67-68 (when it dont crash)

Sometimes the pc will work for 3-4 hours a day other times 3-4 mins it just seems to be getting worse :( pwease help

Ps Just noticed spec on sig after posting :hides under small rock:

Ok tried old drivers ran 3d mark 06 once, then tried to play company of heros and it locked no error message it completly locked up and beeped a few times, so i rebooted tried medieval 2 total war that was fine till it was unit deployment time, the game froze up again the pc beeped but the game sound still kept going.

Ntune is not on the system..... it only seems to of happened since windows update on the 14/15 of this month it was shutting down as normal installed the updates i left it running and went to bed thinking it would shutdown when it was finished it didnt was hung on the shutting downscreen and its been a pain since then but ive formatted since then and ive tried without applying the updates and its still exactly the same.

Its not actually a dll its reporting it just says, nv4disp, but with older drivers it just locks, 2-3 months ago it was fine with those drivers.

A friend in IT mentioned to me this evening there has been a problem MS update (we had issues with our PC downstairs), i can't give you specifics as i've not had the problem myself nor did i jot down what he said.....

I'm unsure what to suggest at this point but perhaps you could try removing a couple of the MS updates (if you know which ones occured recently) and see if that helps.

Could you also give specific amount of beeps you receieved??

EXAMPLE: 1 long 2 short.

The beeps where short fairly long gap between each one there was about 6 beeps before it completly locked. Heard about the ms updates...... ty again im gonna go bang my head on my pillow for a while and cry ill mess with the updates tomorrow.

xp or vista?
if xp, id format with 1 gcard and use the 96.89 drivers ...thats what i use!
ps. my gaming name is "MajorBlueScreens".....sort of explains itself lol

Hmmmm thanks for that, ive had a ram issue a while ago the machine was basicly very unstable and got to the point when i got the memory error beeps on boot, so i put in 1 gig of geil pc6400 ran it for a few days it was fine they released the bios to fix memory issues with ram over 800mhz so i decided to stick my dead dominators in again and low and behold they worked wtf is that about lol anyways surfed the net and found this about aprils Ms Critical update.

"Over the course of 2 weeks Microsoft determined that most of these problems where caused by a Share-to-Web software that was previously distributed by Hewlett Packard. It was also determined that some NVIDIA shell extension registry subkeys caused problems. Microsoft have since posted a Knowledge Base Article about the problems, and re-released the MS06-015 patch last April 25th."

Ive not put this so called critical update on my pc (reformatted) and my machine has been on since i got home from work and so far no problems........
10 hours and counting ill keep you posted.

Ok no error messages at all now its just hanging, my screen goes black then back to normal but the machine hangs mouse moves but no-ones home, so ive taken the dominator ram out AGAIN and put in the geil 6400 and oh its working again it has never failed with the geil ram which made me think it was the dominators at fault but they passed all mem tests or is the mem test program faulty?. This is driving me mad, on the evga forums there was 2 other people with this same sort of problem but where does it ly?
Graphics cards? incompatable ram? Crap motherboard why would ram fail and give the post beeps indicating faulty ram and then the so called faulty ram work after the geil ram has been in the system for 10 mins?

Should i just rma the whole lot and go on holiday?

Have you tried upping the voltage on the RAM a little? Other than that, it sounds like your mobo just doesn't like that particular RAM. It's not faulty, which is probably why is passes Memtest, but once it's in Windows and running there's probably just some combination of things it doesn't like.
