Tottenham will get 3rd BOTTOM next season

I'm still saying West Brom, Stoke and Boro for the drop.

I don't think Spurs will score many goals for the rest of the season but Palicios/Cudicini should tighten up the defense.

West Brom.
Stoke.
Pompy.

Would love to see Newcastle go down as well :)

It's a shame we can't get rid of a lot of the poorer teams in the league, that only stay there because they're ever so slightly better then the bottom three.

Id love to see 3 from Newcastle, Man City, Pompey and Tottenham go down. But realistically I think Stoke and West Brom will both go down, hopefully one of the bigger teams will be the other one, Hull seem to be in free fall though.

Can't see Hull going down. They're a far better side than the teams already donw there and they've got a 6 point start on them too.

Huh? Far better? Since when? I'm struggling to find teams worse than them at the moment. Boro, WBA and Pompey are the only teams worse in the division to be honest

Edit- Checking the stats, Hull have won one game since 25th October, that's relegation form if I ever saw it cf. Newcastle: Five.

Yes far better than some of the sides down there. They're far better than West Brom, Pompey, Stoke and Boro and have a start on them (and a few others) too. They may not be playing well but i'd still fancy them to beat any of the teams above.

Still don't fully agree, but each to their own.

And you didn't say 'some' before. ;)

I know i didn't (well thats a lie, i did think i did :o) but I was only referring to the bottom 5 or so because i don't think the likes of you, Bolton or Spurs have anything to worry about.

If I've done my sums correctly we're in for a great shout for the Championship title.... providing we carry on like we are and don't get anymore than 6 points for the remainder of the season..

;)

pretty much the best response in the thread, truly had me laughing out loud like an idiot :p

Its pretty much impossible to see whose going to go down. Hell West Brom looked a certainy a couple months ago with a bit of a gap but they've got a few points going. Boro out of the bottom 3 at the moment have the most capable squad, if they can get a few goals back into the side then they maybe have the best chance of moving out of the drop zone. Blackburn are terrible and if their "new manager" form goes out the window as it is starting to then they could easily go down. Spurs, as much as it pains me to say, aren't really looking like relegation material. They've scored about the same as all those around them, yet have conceded significantly less(around 30 compared to around 40 for the few above and most below them). Considering they've added Keane and Defoe will come back later in the year I can't see it. The defence is conceding less than last years so should be safe.

My money would be on Stoke, Blackburn and West Brom to go down this year and what will be more laughable is Santa Cruz after having a poor year will end up being sold for 5-10mil, when if Fat Sam stopped trying to goad City into a huge bid which he obviously assumed they would, he could easily have gotten 18-20mil if he just said he could leave for that. All the good players will leave and they'll be left with all the aging or crap players and it will be pretty hard for them to be promoted again.

The trouble with Hull is their consistency. There's been games where they've looked every bit a decent, mid-table side (mostly earlier in the season), but on the other hand they looked shockingly Championship when they lost to West Ham the other week (it should have easily been 4 or 5-0), or when they played West Brom at home (which was actually a poorer match than either tie last season). Added to the fact that they've actually conceded the most goals in the division, and it's not all that clear cut.

The Chelsea draw might well help them turn the corner though, but I think they've got a decent set of fixtures for the next 8 games or so, and it's all down to what they can get from that.

It will never happen! the mighty Spurs will stay up. Might be by a single point but my god would never be so cruel as to send them down. :)

Newcastle/Spurs/Stoke

Hope they get relegated :D can look forward to seeing Harry and Joe at Hillsborough next year :p

I don't like Stoke at all.
