Tottenham will get 3rd BOTTOM next season

laughable is Santa Cruz after having a poor year will end up being sold for 5-10mil, when if Fat Sam stopped trying to goad City into a huge bid which he obviously assumed they would, he could easily have gotten 18-20mil if he just said he could leave for that. All the good players will leave and they'll be left with all the aging or crap players and it will be pretty hard for them to be promoted again.

That's the risk though isn't it. If Santa Cruz scores the goals to keep them up, that'll be worth over £20m right there.

Thank God we've reached relative safety with 5 games to go.

And only 1 point from 7th!

Who'd have thought that when we had just 2 points from 8 games? :D

I suppose but also the old title of this thread and some peoples comments about poyet's and Ramos' motivation "skills" made me lol :D If you hadn't been so awfull at the start you may well have been up there with everton and villa

admitttedly earlier on in this thread i did say that there may be a chance for spurs to come 3rd but the big 4 have all been relatively solid this year....i suppose arsenal had a very shakey mid season, but now they look strong to start for hopefully an epic 4 way title bid clash in the 2010 season. And hey theres still 3 in it for this year!

Guess Ramos' style of coaching wasn't suited to the Prem. Sad to see Poyet go with him though. He was a great assistant.

Would we have landed Modric with Jol though? I'm not sure. I do know that he would have stuck to his guns over Berbatov though and not demanded he was sold like Ramos did.

The synic in me says that this run of form can't continue & looking at our fixtures from Stoke at home (next game) onwards, the next few weeks will basically shape our season as we will either come out of games against Villa, Everton, Man City etc with points a plenty or everyone will be saying we are just a flash in the pan (as per usual) and we will have lost most of them.

Nov / Dec we have some important fixtures (especially away from home) so will be interesting to see how we do... I'n Harry we trust :) lol

I know Gomes comes in for a lot of stick from the pundits, but if this guy can get a run of games, stay solid & carry on making some of the saves we know he is capable of then he could be a massive massive player over the next month or two.

If we can have a nice run of clean sheets (like last season) especially over the next few fixtures, I always fancy we will score and so that could be the difference.

Wouldn't it be great if we were still within 3-6 points of Chelsea / Man Uts after Christmas :) lol...

Gomes, King and Woodgate are crucial for us- aswell as Palacios. Clean sheets mean you pick up points and that's what the league is all about.

We have enough firepower so it's all about concentration, hard graft and keeping certain players fit. We keep the goals against figures down and we will do well....... it's a very big ask though.

What could be our undoing is good cup runs. Lack of Europe will help us and hopefully all those around us will start to suffer by playing midweek european games while our boys recover.
