I do need a touch screen monitor for work, it does help when making one to one presentations of certain types of studies.

I would need something at least 22", good response when dragging objects objects, being able to resize windows, interact with software, double click screen, right click would be desirable but not essential. I have only seen Dell ST2220T which catches my eye. But from reading reviews I cannot really get a good idea of what is out there.

Budget is not an issue.

Thanks for the help

I have an HP 2310 ti, and it seems to be exactly what you want to be honest... Hasn't got right click but has absolutely everything else...

Only problem is, it seems HP have moved onto making the XX11 range, now, and it doesn't seem like they have a touch screen version :S

Usually tablets are used for this, the place where I had my internship used both an iPad 2 / ASUS Transformer but with current iOS/Android versions that really isn't an option for your demands.
It sounds like you need to run Windows, in that case a Dell ST2220T does sound like a good idea, just look it up on youtube to get an idea of how (well) it works.

If you're serious about budget not being an issue than a Microsoft Surface Table might just be the best solution. I assume this for business use and you just need best thing available, it might open up other possibilities as well. The Microsoft/Samsung representative you'll need to contact will give you quite a bit of information about possible uses etc.

If you just want a monitor then prad.de lets you make the needed selection in their find monitors tool (touchscreen is under the special options list). I doubt that it is a good idea though. Working with two people on a monitor doesn't work unless it's in a horizontal position, having someone else's arms your face isn't a very pleasant experience. Most monitors aren't made with that in mind so you'd need to cute a hole in a table leading to potential cooling/airflow problems. Also keep in mind that you most likely don't want a TN panel if you're going to use it horizontally, viewing angles will be horrible.

Some of the software I need to run is our own (we do not have versions for iPad, Android), so tablets are out of the question, the main application we develop is very processor hungry as well.

Seems like the Samsung table is something worth looking at (do not like the processor though), aside from this I need something I can carry around easily, but I love the concept of the table.

Do you need just a regular monitor with a touch interface built in? We found a company that provides them as we were looking into one for a meeting room (they do anything from 15" through to 82" with touch) but I never got a look at the price list. Something like a NEC MCU2490WUXBLK-V2 sounds ideal though, 24" touch and an IPS screen but I can't imagine it being cheap.

Steeps, that is a possibility, could you email me the name of the company please? As I imagine they could be classed as competitors.

I have been trying to find more about that NEC model, seems to be out of stock everywhere. A bit on the expensive side, do not mind paying for the Samsung table, but this monitor will be moving from place to place.

Dell produce a 22" multi-touch IPS panel but unfortunately it's infrared, which means it's limited to two-point touch. Windows 8 requires five-point multi-touch in order to gain hardware certification, so I'd rather not grab something that will be handicapped from the get-go.

Is anyone aware of any decent multi-touch display capable of five-point touch (i.e. capacitive touch)? I'm happy with my Dell U2410 for my primary monitor and a 42" 100Hz LG LED for my media display but I'd quite like to pick up a multi-touch monitor for Windows 8; TN would be acceptable but IPS is preferable.

The Hazro HZ27WB does have this mentioned on their product page:
the HZ27WB can be modified and upgraded to include glass protection, touch screen as well as scaling functionalities
Might be worth contacting to see what they can do.

How convenient of them to only sell the WB directly atm, makes linking to them possible with breaking the forum rules
