Got a scratch in my door, and I'm trying to find the right colour touch up paint for my car. Halfords were next to useless, couldn't find it on their colour charts, and their PC was off. Its a 1998 Mondeo (VIN code for the colour is M9) which seems to be Blue Violet. Any one know where I can find paint and what colour I'd need. Google is not being my friend today.

Would have suggested halfords, they've been pretty good with paint matching in the past. Maybe ring them up and give them the details of what you want, and if they don't have it in store they should be able to contact another store or mix a batch up for you instore - if its off a mondy they'll definately be able to match it.

Sorry if I'm stating the obvious but, a Ford garage?

What kind of simple answer is that? I was hoping for a home made reciepe consisting of cardboard, blueberries, paravoilets and yaks urine. But yeah, ordering it from Ford and giving them my VIN details so that can look it up does seem the only option. Cheers for the obvious suggestion.

No problem, I got some for free from Honda but I had just spent £200 on a bumper:o
I doubt it's much more than a tenner.

I got paint from panelside for my old mr2, had glitter in it. They mix the exact paint using the codes and they're quite cheap. Where I live they're part of BMS carspares branch so just nip in BMS and ask them to point you in the right direction. Hope this helps :D
