Touched gold contact

Hi, ive been putting together a new build. Trying to be carefull, however me being clumsy, i accidently brushed the gold contact on my DDR4 modual with my finger.
Will this leave any residue from my hands and affect performance, worried about it degrading the memory.
It works fine, just wondered if i should clean the contact to be on the safe side?

If it’s working fine then just leave it. For the record, I’ve accidentally touch memory stick contacts far too many times and not suffered any ill effects. Just don’t deliberately hold them by the contacts!

Brill, i dont know if i was being over paronoid, was going to get some rubbing alcohol but seems like overkill. Ill leave it. Thanks

It's fine. Best practice is to avoid touching contacts, but theres little chance of damage, specially as it's working fine.
