Fitting a new RAD and some new tubing, going to change the water etc.

I've already swilled out the new rad with vinegar - do I need to do this with the other components too? They've been "in action" for about a year now.

Is it worth re-seating the CPU / GFX blocks anyway, or shall I just leave them where they are and just replace the water with the new RAD?

i would re-sit the blocks with some newer better thermal compound. i would wash them out aswell as they'll have a years buildup of anything that was in your loop with it heating up and cooling all the time.

i would always recommend you use NEW tubing! this will reduce the chance of leaks and will give your system a cleaner look.

Agree.

New tubing is a must!, if your pump is a DDC or similar , take the top off and scrub it out with a toothbrush and vinegar or cillet bang or something like that, use whatever is best and to hand as you will rinse it off anyway. (rinse thoroughy)

Same with waterblocks until they are all shiney and new looking inside and out. rinse the lot thoroughly with tap water, then again with de-ionised water, before re-building and filling with distilled water if you can get it.

it's a pain in the harris, but well worth it!

I found that kettle de-scaler in hot water did a fine job of crap removal from my rad, then required a lot less vinegar to clean out.
