My Acer Travelmate 5320 touchpad has been playing up lately. It acts as if the left click button is always pressed down and so selects everything, it is becoming rather frustrating!
It usually solves it after a few firm clicks but comes back when you click again. It doesn't do it if I plug in another mouse and I've reinstalled Windows in case it was a driver or software issue but that has had no luck. I've also taken the laptop apart to see if the buttons were all gunged up or something but there was nothing there to suggest they were getting stuck.
I've had a look to see how much a replacement would be and the touchpad and buttons are sold seperately. What is most likely to be the culprate?
