i recently got a 15" Touchscreen from a friend. I want to set it up as a kind of jukebox thing running itunes hooked up to my hifi.

The thing is how do i hook it up to my pc??? Do i need a special card for it or something.

Thanks in advance.

anyone guys.

Really wanna get this up and running think it would be a great add-on for my hifi setup

most of them are USB, you could probably set up some kinda flash prog to control the music

i think its siemens or wincor i will have to have a look and see if it has a usb port, really handy if it does.

Would be amazing know anywhere that sells touchscreens 15" - 17" as soon as you come into my room there is an oldish (amd xp 3200+ 1gb geil ultra platinum ect) on the right hook up that touchscreen then to my hi-fi and dam that would be sweet!

It will be cool when you get it working.

I have been thinking of doing that for ages but I have not seen a nice touch screen. I want it to be aluminium and not be huge (frame) and ugly like most :)

If i get it working mate it will be great.

Dont know if it will happen though as i have searched from about 6 this evening and i have not got anywhere.

Chances are it will be from a shop or factory setup - if you can find the manufacturers model number (should be one there) that should give you a place to start, but don't be overly suprised if it's a propriatary interface :(

looks like paralel (sp?) port

Does to me too, well a Centronics port anyway (the type you get on printers).

If its physically smaller than Centronics I'd suggest that it was propriatary and as such uses an add-in card.

What happens if its a propriatary interface?

Are there any serial numbers etc. on the screen? Gives peoples here something more to work with other than a piccie of a parrallel type connection. :)

If it is a propriatary interface then it could be hard to link it to a 'standard' pc as it will have been designed with a different type of machine, but it may be possible to get a PCI to whatever connection it is card, but to be honest that is rather doubtful.

here is all the information from the back of the screen.

The screen was originally part of a POS system in a retail store.
