I need a new laptop for software development in C++ (modelling of physical systems). Did a search and i ended up considering dell latitudes and sony viao's.

Any thoughts on the Dell's or Sony's or any other laptops that fit this bill:

Budget: £1400 or less.

64bit Pro OS.
Minimum 6hour battery life.
13.3" or 14" inch HD+ Screen (1600 x 900 resolution).
i7 Quad core.
8GB RAM (1600MHZ).
128GB Solid State Drive (which can be switched/upgraded later).
Doesnt have to have discrete graphics (but would be handy).
Net Ready (3G or 4G) ..can take mobile SIM.
...and last but not least...supports VT (virtualization technology).

as a comparison, Dell offered this:

I wondered which would be faster the above or:

...the MSI...which looks good too, but it does have a bigger screen and im really after a 13" or 14" as it will get carried back and forth to work each day...but it is GRUNT im needing.

Penny for your thoughts.
