Hi Guys,

Just a quick query,

Basically i am on changing my room around and am trying to go for the minimalistic look.

I will be connecting my LCD tv & LCD monitor up to my computer however each are at the other end of the room. I was thinking, would it be ok for me to place my case on its side acctually under my bed.

This is the best place to put in my room to keep the wires to a minimum, just wanted to know if anyone has done this or if its just a crazy idea.

Thanks

All computer components that I've seen have been designed to run in either position. Some heat-pipe coolers actually work better if they are set horizontally.

the only problem with it mate is fresh air... if its getting fresh air and isnt clamped up then it should be just as the same. but as messiah khan said, it could get a tad annoying using the dvd/cd drives, but im sure that wouldnt be a strong point enough to avert the idea.

Only this i can see is the optical drive situation, unless you have a slot loader or one of those drives which have the raised bits to hold the cd in place

drives arent that annoying, i spent some time with one of my towers horizontal, and the cd retaining parts to the tray work very well in stopping CDs falling out, and making sure they are properly positioned when loading.

And image every cd? If I was to do that, it would take up Terrabytes upon terrabytes.

Well im going to be having 2Tb of space in my computer, and thats all the drivebays taken up. I think i'll just stick to keeping Cds and using a DVD/CD drive tbh. :)
