My best attempt to date, almost had it to the next level.

could probably get to 83

I think the 3 in a row at the bottom has some potential to it, they get used for 2 lines. Wahey.
 
I just cant get past 72, grrr.

I think Ice towers at the beginning are best taking out the 'dots' early gets more points. My thunderthings were out of desperation at the end:p

yeh... happened with me when i got to 69... lost a fully upgraded nature :( onabout level 67 too...
 
73 but was struggling after 68.... 6 fully upgraded natures and a lvl 1 thing as well as 2 nealry upgraded ice and then me adding 2 or 3 others to keep it going.
 
Do you really have to put Yewen's face on everything?

How did you get the leaf ones to kill enough dots to upgrade so many?

The leaves were so weak, I couldn't rely on them at the start to earn cash.

I put 2 in the bottom left, one of them upgraded to start with then keep upgrading as your get more money
 
Same here, I started with 2x leaf with one upgraded, but they weren't strong enough past wave 3 and slipped past. I didn't have enough money to upgrade as they weren't killing them. Water is great at the start, but upgrading it too far is a waste of cash.

My general start is 2 plants in the corner and one water in the first loop.

Water hits em early on, and follows them all the way around, so any your plants miss get picked off :)
 
I'm going to do more tactic calculations when I get home, but lining the plants on the corners works due to their rapid fire with decent damage.

I keep them fully upgraded.

Waters seem best at 1 or 2 upgrades from max, as they have uber range.

Fire just doesn't seem worth the money at all.

Not tried anything else as yet

Bargain to build at the start.

Just got 79. Do not think I will do much better than that.
 
I think its a quick fix for the beginning. I rekon the armoured towers are the way to go. I managed to get two with one upgraded but their range decreases and the rate of fire is quite slow.
